a brief history of our veterinary clinic in roseville

Dr. Victoria Joseph and Dr. Gary Forney first met at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California at Davis in the early 1980s and realized they shared a passion for caring for companion animals as well as more exotic pets. They became friends and stayed in touch after graduating from the university in 1983 and starting their careers as veterinarians. Dr. Joseph opened a small veterinary clinic in 1990, and was joined by Dr. Forney when he moved to Roseville in 1995.

As word spread about the exceptional care given at the small clinic in Roseville to dogs and cats as well as avian, rodents and reptiles, the practice grew too large for its facility in the strip mall at the corner of Foothills and Baseline. When the office space next door became available, they expanded their clinic and added another doctor. The practice continued to grow and by early in the new century it became apparent the clinic would need to move to a larger location.

Bird and Pet Clinic of RosevilleIn 2003 the doctors purchased a location across the street from the existing clinic and broke ground on a standalone facility that would be able to accommodate a multitude of animal species, allowing them to care for the special needs of each breed of dog, cat, bird, rabbit, rodent, reptile and raptor. More doctors joined the staff, each with their own special set of skills, and state-of-the-art veterinary equipment was installed. Since then, we have continued to grow, adding new diagnostic and monitoring equipment, and updated dental instruments and machines.
